DS2, PSP2 coming in 2011?

2011 is a moderately safe bet for when the next generation of consoles will arrive, although no official announcement from Microsoft, Sony or Nintendo has ever given any credence to this speculation. Ubisoft has, though, by announcing that it’s hiring and acquiring technology in anticipation.
Speaking with GamesIndustry.biz, Ubisoft CEO Yves Guillemot said, "We want to take advantage of a company that could bring more technology to us, or new brands.
"So we have now enough to help us to grow the company for not only next year but to get ready for the coming of the next generation consoles that are probably going to happen 2011, 2012.
"We have to be ready for that, we are already hiring people and buying some technology and looking at some brands as well," he revealed.
Of course, Guillemot probably has home consoles in mind, but 2011 sounds like a reasonable estimate for the next DS (or Game Boy Next). As for the PSP, I suspect 2011 is a bit far off is Sony is to stand a chance of reversing the console’s ailing fortunes.
