Disney Mirrorverse wins Pocket Gamer People's Choice 2023

Disney Mirrorverse celebrated a well-fought victory at last night's Pocket Gamer Mobile Games Awards by being awarded the Pocket Gamer People's Choice category.

Emerging from a field of finalists that covered a gorgeously broad range of themes, genres, play mechanics, art styles and more, Kabam's crossover action RPG found itself with an animated battle on its hands.

Having initially made it through the nomination phase of the People's Choice in a pretty comfortable style back in February, Disney Mirrorverse saw its lead closely challenged for the majority of March's voting period – only pulling convincingly ahead in the closing stages. Once it did, though, there was no stopping it as it won by the biggest margin in the award's history.

Records broken

The People's Choice celebrates the finest mobile gaming experience of the previous year and is the only category of the PG Mobile Games Awards – now in their sixth year and, as ever, run by our industry-focused partner site, PocketGamer.biz – that is both nominated for and voted on by the players themselves.

Because of this, it's one of the ceremony's highlights and previous winners rightfully wear their achievements as a badge of honour.

As has become something of a tradition, this year again saw a record number of votes as you, dear readers, voted in your tens of thousands to ultimately decide our winner.
