Sony has announced the launch of a new music show called Movement which will be available to PSP and PS3 users via PlayStation Network.

The show claims to be seeking out the most diverse sounds from across Europe – everything from British girlie-punk to Italian art-rock. It's hosted by two "passionate music fans" driving a camper van, with the pair dropping off at five major European cities and watching four bands from each. The band chosen as the best at the end of the series will win the chance to make a professional music video.

If the prospect of listening to experimental Euro electronica doesn't fill you with dread, then you'll be pleased to hear the first instalment of Movement is available to download from today. And even if you do think you might be allergic, then perhaps the consideration it is completely free might do something to sway you into downloading.

There will be eight new video downloads available on the network each week, each with interviews, performances and footage of the (we're assuming 'crazy') two hosts touring in their camper van.

PSP owners can get hold of them through the PC PlayStation Store. What are you waiting for? Free German rock on your PSP surely isn't something you want to pass up. (Apologies for the generalisation – at least they've never had Mr Blobby topping their charts.)
