A gap, then a world of possibilities

The next eight days in handheld games

A gap, then a world of possibilities

DS + PSP

The start of the year can be a nerve-wracking time. As well as all the people you want or need to avoid following outrageous Christmas behaviour, you have to deal with breaking the scales, topping your overdraft and maxxing out the credit card. And then there's the first week back in the office - that pile of work from December - plus the mornings and the evenings are still dark. It's a wonder we aren't all on Seroxat.

In Pocket Gamer towers however we're positively skipping to the computer, thanks to investment in the complete works of Abba and a set of big headphones.

Such a dichotomy of attitude is also present on the highstreet. There are no PSP or DS games at all scheduled for release this Friday. Next week however, there's a positive explosion of cheap (20) DS games - well, as long as you enjoy either spaceships or horses - and frankly, who doesn't?
