Here at Pocket Gamer Towers, we're excited to see how developers will use the Nintendo 3DS capabilities in their games. What combinations of touch-controls, 3D effects and gyroscope action will work the best?

Capcom today announced Nazo Waku Yakata, a "sound adventure" that will not be controlled via conventional methods.

You have to navigate a mysterious mansion without using any of the 3DS buttons at all. You look around each room by tilting the console, while talking to the residents requires you speak into the microphone.

Not content with the 3D graphics display, Capcom is taking it one step further with 3D audio. The game will use 'Optophonics' technology to recreate full 360-degree surround sound.

You'll hear wasps buzzing around your head and tape being wrapped around the protagonist. Assuming it works, this is one game you'll most definitely want to be wearing headphones for.

In terms of content, director Minoru Nakai told Sokuho (helpfully translated by Andriasang) that the story "allows you to experience horror, suspense and even comedy".

Indeed, some of the examples given sound rather bizarre. One room sees you massaging a girl in a bathing suit, while another has you holding your 3DS as still as possible so as not to let a box of fireworks set off.

The idea is that each room can be completed within just a few minutes, at which point you'll then move on to the next in quick-fire mini-game style.

Unfortunately, no screenshots have been supplied as of yet, so we'll have to simply imagine how silly it all looks for now.

Nazo Waku Yakata is due for release this summer. No details have been given about a possible European release.
