Gameloft iPhone shooter N.O.V.A. 2 reduced to 59p in Valentine's Day vote

Last week Gameloft joined several other publishers in holding a Valentine's Day iPhone game sale.

Whilst announcing the sale the publisher promised two additional treats: a “special surprise” for Android gamers (all of Gameloft's Android games later dropped to £1); and the option to vote for which Gameloft iPhone game you wanted to see on sale for 59p.

You collectively voted for N.O.V.A. 2, Gameloft's ode to the Halo series. It follows the exploits of Kal Wardin, a space cowboy who dresses like Master Chief. The aim of the game is to make your way through ten missions killing members of the Volterite race.

N.O.V.A. 2 hit the App Store late last year to universal acclaim thanks to its impressive graphics, solid FPS gameplay, and outstanding multiplayer. In the words of Pocket Gamer's Tracy Erickson, “N.O.V.A. 2 is a great shooter with a thrilling campaign and even better multiplayer that will have you hooked.” It got a Gold Award.

N.O.V.A. 2 is available for 59p for the next 24 hours.
