My Talking Tom+, a new and improved version of the legendary virtual pet sim, launches on Apple Arcade
The ever-so-popular pet-care sim Talking Tom, developed by Outfit7, has officially launched on Apple Arcade. While Talking Tom has been available on just about every platform for a while now, this new Apple Arcade release features new content and quality-of-life improvements that enhance the original experience.
If you somehow haven’t heard of Talking Tom, imagine a Tamagotchi but for the modern era. You’ll take care of an anthropomorphic cat who will require simple tasks like brushing, feeding, and so on. You’ll do all this as well as giving him various gifts and treats that range from costumes to full-blown new environments for Tom to chill in.
Another cool feature of Talking Tom is that, well, he talks! He’ll hold full conversations with you and blurt out whatever is on his mind, which furthers that attachment you’ll end growing up for the cute little guy and makes you more inclined to check on him daily.
Add in the ability to dress your Talking Tom in fun little costumes such as a police officer or a ship captain and you’ve got your very own pocket pet who’s bound to bring a smile to your face. If that isn’t quite gamey enough for you, though, there’s also an assortment of small minigames you can play with him too!
As for what’s new in the Apple Arcade version, the graphics have been improved, offering some extra fidelity to the pet simulator along with some light content additions such as more pictures to collect with your furry friend, some new fashion items, and new furniture as well. Nothing too large to differentiate between the two versions, but a few nice upgrades for Apple Arcade subscribers.
