My Hero Ultra Impact, Bandai Namco's casual RPG based on My Hero Academia, is available to pre-register now

Bandai Namco has announced that pre-registration for its upcoming casual RPG My Hero Ultra Impact is now available for iOS and Android. It is based on the popular anime My Hero Academia and will be the English-language version. It was first released in Japan in May 2021 and has racked up three million downloads since.

The game itself is a three versus three battler where you will utilise each characters Quirks to tip the fight in your favour. These abilities are activated with a simple tap, and you can build skill chains with them to create even more powerful attacks. You can also use Plus Ultra Moves to vanquish your foes.

The Main Quest follows Izuku Midoriya’s story and his first meeting with the number hero All Might. As the narrative progresses, you will see students of U.A. High Class 1-A improve and participate in the U.A. Sports Festival. If you're a fan of the anime, you will recognise several scenes from the show itself.

As you might have already guessed, My Hero Ultra Impact is a gacha RPG. That means you will be collecting different characters through the usual gacha methods to create your team. From there, you can upgrade and awaken them, which unlocks a new original illustration.

Once you're happy with your squad, you can take them into the PvP realm to test your skills against others, where mastery of Quirks will prove key to emerging victorious. Outside of battling, you can customise your Hero Base by inviting different heroes and villains to roam about the hideout.

My Hero Ultra Impact is available to pre-order on the App Store and Google Play. It is a free-to-play game with in-app purchases.
