Mother Nature: EcoDash is an endless runner where you must rescue endangered animals and bring them to safety
It’ll make you think about climate change and pollution

- Play as a Black female scientist fighting against pollution
- You must dodge toxic obstacles and rescue endangered animals
- The game has been designed by 11–18-year-old girls
Birmingham Open Media has just announced the release of Mother Nature: EcoDash, an endless runner that puts you in the shoes of a Black female scientist fighting against pollution, on Android and iOS. It has been designed in collaboration with girls aged 11-18 years old from Powered by CAN, a youth project which empowers youngsters to achieve feats like this.
As Mother Nature, you race through polluted cityscapes, dodging toxic waste barrels and other obstacles while rescuing endangered animals. Your mission is to clean the air and restore balance, but the villainous Smog is never far behind. The pollution meter shows how close they are. If they get too near, your speed drops, making it harder to keep going.
To push forward, you’ll need to grab air purifiers, shields, and magnets. These act as power-ups and help you stay ahead, collect more animals, and rack up extra points. Along the way, you’ll come across Portal Cores, which transport you to the rainforest, a safe space to release the animals you’ve saved.

Speaking about the project, Karen Newman, Director at BOM, said: “Our focus and purpose here at BOM is to explore how we use immersive technologies for social impact and community engagement. We were resolute that for a game project about climate change and air pollution, it would be important to involve young people in the development process.”
“Collaborating with the young women and girls at Powered by CAN produced some brilliant ideas during weekly design workshops led by BOM’s talented Immersive Studio team who were then delighted to bring their game levels, characters, and gameplay ideas and drawings to life.”
By blending fast-paced action with an environmental theme, this endless runner encourages you to think about climate change while keeping you engaged. Download Mother Nature: EcoDash now by clicking on your preferred link below.
