Forthcoming console shooter Modern Warfare 2 - the direct sequel to uber-hit Call of Duty 4 - will be gaining a mobile port, courtesy of Glu.

News has emerged of an expanded deal between the two companies that will see five Activision games brought to mobile. The other titles will be Crash Mutant Island, Blur, Guitar Hero 5 and Tony Hawk Ride.

Interestingly, the announcement claims that the games will be published on Android, Blackberry, Brew, J2ME and Windows Mobile platforms. There was no mention of any iPhone versions.

This would appear to back up earlier claims from Glu that it would be putting considerable resources into smart phone development, as much of the market switches to Apple’s device.
