First official iPhone trailer for Mirror's Edge revealed

Although it occasionally made me a bit sea sick, I was a huge fan of Mirror's Edge on the home consoles, but I always yearned for a third-person perspective.

So the news that EA Mobile has been busily adapting Faith's high-flying, toe-curling, free-running adventure to iPhone is immensely exciting, particular as it promises to include all the wall running, zip lining, aikido fighting and death-defying leaps across the rooftops.

EA Mobile just released the first official iPhone Mirror's Edge trailer over on its website, and it definitely looks like a ramped up version of the excellent Canabalt, so chalk me down for a day one purchase.

Our own Jon Mundy is visiting EA Mobile this week to get his hands on the iPhone version of Mirror's Edge (expected on the App Store January 2010), so stay tuned for a full preview.

Yes. Spanner's his real name, and he's already heard that joke you just thought of. Although Spanner's not very good, he's quite fast, and that seems to be enough to keep him in a regular supply of free games and away from the depressing world of real work.
