Get Set Games’s perpetual-jumping game, Mega Jump, is all set to take its Android bow. According to the developer, the game “will be coming to Android in the next couple of weeks.”

It’s another one of those endless-climb affairs, but it stands out for some gorgeously crisp graphics and plenty of gratifying power-ups.

Played Hyper Jump on Android? That’s pretty much a Mega Jump clone, which tells you Get Set Games is onto a good thing.

Mega Jump has racked up a stunning 7.5 million downloads to date on iPhone. Part of this success is doubtless down to its free nature, with revenue coming from in-app purchases of Mega Points. The game’s currency enables you to unlock new characters and power-ups to help boost your high-score.

It’s been confirmed that the Android version will follow this freemium model, and will also share the iPhone version’s OpenFeint integration. Presumably you’ll also be able to earn Mega Points by getting your friends to download the game, as on iPhone.

The Android version will lag behind on the feature front initially, as it’ll only include content up to update 7 (Mega Jump on Apple's handset is currently on update 9). However, GSG’s Derek van Vliet assured Android gamers that, “Once it's out we will get to work on bringing it up to date with the iPhone version.”

We’ll let you know when Mega Jump arrives.
