The term 'like a rat in a maze' is one that's often used in a pejorative sense. And it's especially ironic considering that they're surprisingly good at navigating them. But they'd certainly have an easier time with an arsenal of weapons at their disposal, as is the case with the upcoming Maze Mice!
This roguelike bullet heaven has a simple conceit: things only move when you do. Yes, it's like a rodent version of Super Hot. And with a little Pac-Man sprinkled in as you try to weave your way through a dense maze while escaping from a horde of cats that are on your tail.
Fortunately, you'll have an arsenal of weapons at your disposal to damage and slow them down. As you gather dots, you'll level up and unlock all manner of upgrades to help you keep each roguelike run going for as long as possible.

Man or a mouse?
With Maze Mice, part of the appeal is not just in the surprisingly stylish graphics, but also in the pace of it. Since things only move when you do, you can plot out your moves at your leisure. Although no doubt the temptation to keep your escape going plays a factor in your success.Boasting gameplay design and a full-fledged soundtrack from the same developer behind the equally intriguing Luck be a Landlord, I've no doubt that Maze Mice will be one to watch. So keep an eye out for it, expected to arrive sometime in October of this year!
