The recently released and immediately successful card battler Marvel Snap, developed by Second Dinner, has revealed its plans for new content and additions going into the new year. This 2023 roadmap features many upcoming features ranging from more social elements to new variants of cards, in-game events, and much much more.

Marvel Snap has blown up since it launched a few months ago, enticing fans of the Marvel universe with a simplistic yet experimental style of card game, offering up an easy-to-learn but hard-to-master loop that has taken the world by storm. After hosting a few in-game events and some spread-out quality-of-life updates, Marvel Snap isn’t stopping anytime soon judging by this recently revealed 2023 roadmap of updates in the pipeline. Let’s go over the highlights!

The more immediate updates that are listed in the Coming Soon portion of the map include the highly requested battle mode vs friends addition, which will see you able to invite your friends in-game to do battle against. It's a simple update, but one that has been anticipated since the game was released. The other changes likely to drop soon are the ability to change your profile name as well as artist credits for each card’s art, Russian and Vietnamese language support, and Infinity Split Mod Details, which is a very vague teaser of some new mechanic.

As for the rest, the In Development portion sees some PC UI changes, Smart Decks, an Unranked Mode, and new Competitive Modes. All of these are pretty self-explanatory, except for Smart Decks, which is likely a way to auto-build decks according to what you want to specialise in.

And finally, we’ve got a few In Concept changes too. The most important ones here are likely the new Infinity Rank Leaderboard, the Guilds Social System, Mythic Variants, and In-game Events. These all sound like excellent additions to the game, and show that even more events are planned for the future.
