MapleStory Worlds is now available in soft launch on mobile and PC in the Americas and Europe

Fans of the MapleStory franchise can rejoice, because it seems the unthinkable has happened and a current release is coming to North America and Europe in a timely manner! After first soft-launching in late 2024, MapleStory Worlds is also now available for mobile and PC in Europe and the Americas starting now!
MapleStory Worlds is, to the best of my knowledge, basically Roblox for MapleStory. You can use both basic and advanced tools to create your own side-scrolling adventures, whether that be classic MapleStory-style RPGs, shooting or just socialising with others.
MapleStory Worlds boasts cross-platform play with mobile and PC. In both trailers and testimonials for creators, Nexon has been eager to point out how these different experiences can be monetised. However, I'm sure for many of you the appeal will be to recreate the classic MapleStory experiences with new and improved tools.
I admit I'm somewhat intrigued but a little sceptical about MapleStory Worlds. I won't deny that the gorgeous, crunchy pixel aesthetic of the franchise is one I greatly enjoy, but even amongst longtime fans, I've not necessarily seen an outpouring of enthusiasm about Worlds either.
Still, MapleStory Worlds promises to let you explore a variety of experiences (or we can just call them mini-games) that range from platformers to zombie survival and beyond. So perhaps taken as its own standalone platform it's a bit more palatable? We'll have to see how well it's accepted over the soft launch period and when it's officially released to find out!
