Luigi's still alive and busting ghosts in Luigi's Mansion 3, coming to Switch next year
Plus co-op in the 3DS remake of the original
Luigi isn't dead. Or is he? Nintendo seems to be sticking with the former - the taller, greener plumber and his penchant for haunted houses are back for another go on Switch for Luigi's Mansion 3.
There are very few other details to go on, but expect flashlights to reveal ghosts, sucking up said ghosts in a vacuum cleaner, and trying to get as much treasure as you can. Because ghosts love treasure. Everyone knows that.

On top of that, the Luigi's Mansion 3DS remake is adding two-player co-op into the mix. If you've got two machines and two copies of the game, one player can jump in as a weird, entirely green Luigi to play through the entire game in co-op mode.
If you've only got one copy of the game, you can still take part in boss battles together via the download play.

Honestly, I'm up for some more Luigi's Mansion. The second game on 3DS completely passed me by, but the original holds a special place in my heart thanks to it being completely bonkers and lots of fun.
You can expect Luigi's Mansion 3 to land some time in 2019. If you can't wait until then, the 3DS remake of the original Luigi's Mansion is due out on October 19th.
