Lost Words: Beyond the Page is an emotional narrative-driven puzzler, out now on Android and iOS

PID Games and Sketchbook Games have just announced the launch of their highly anticipated title, Lost Words: Beyond the Page on Android and iOS. It takes players on an atmospheric puzzle platforming adventure as they solve tricky tasks that slowly unfold the game’s narrative using 2D and 3D visuals.

As the name suggests, players will use the power of words in order to manipulate the environment around them. Journeying forward requires the creation of a safe passageway, which can only be achieved by altering the surroundings. Plus, there are certain collectables scattered around the vibrant watercolour world as well.

In terms of the story, Lost Words: Beyond the Page takes pages in the various entries of Izzy, the protagonist’s personal diary. It places the little girl in the massive fantasy world of Estoria which is brimming with immense power. Imagination is everything, as it is the only way to proceed forward.

Players will have to put their creative caps on and tap into their curiosity if they want to fully explore Estoria. The story is highly immersive and personal, guaranteeing a memorable experience for anyone who sticks through it. It isn’t too long either, as players can go through it in about 4-6 hours.

The game features a fully-voiced narrative which penned by Rhianna Pratchett, a popular video game writer known for her authoring games like the rebooted Tomb Raider series and Mirror’s Edge. Since the story moves further based on the choices made by the player, each run will be different from the last, offering a number of unique ways of reaching a conclusion.

With different endings to unlock, who knows what adventure Izzy may go on? What we do know is that it’s always going to be an emotionally moving experience regardless of the decisions made.
