Former Apple Arcade-exclusive Kings of the Castle is finally hitting mobile proper as it lands on the iOS App Store, as of the time of writing. Now, even if you're not a subscriber you can have a go at this intriguing, fast-paced and colourful obstacle course game.
The dragon Zantorian has kidnapped Prince Rupert and locked him away in the castle. In response, Lord Baldor dispatches you, the princess, to save him. And you don't have long, to navigate hostile, unfamiliar territory to do just that.
In this colourful obstacle course game you'll race around various levels in first person, gathering gems as you go to pay the ransom for the prince. But be quick, because that dragon is hungry, and they're not well-known for their patience.
While Apple Arcade is definitely a worthwhile service, all too often we see some more niche games get a release in their catalogue, only to be removed later.
