June's Journey set to receive its own mystery novel adaptation from Carlene O'Connor
  • June's Journey is making the jump to paper with a brand-new novel
  • Penned by Carlene O'Connor in close collaboration with Wooga, it's set to arrive in March 2026
  • It sees June journeying to Paris, and needing to clear the name of Jack in an intrigue-filled murder mystery

When it comes to hidden object puzzlers, there's only one name that rules the roost, and that's Wooga's own June's Journey. Set in the 1920s, it's managed to accrue a huge fanbase that Wooga are rightfully proud of. So it's somewhat unsurprising that now, June is coming to the pages of paperback with her own mystery novel adaptation!

Coming courtesy of author Carlene O'Connor, a New York Times best-seller famed for her works of murder mystery set in Ireland, Death Wasn't Invited: A June's Journey Mystery features the titular June Parker in an original whodunnit set to release in March 2026.

Death Wasn't Invited will see June Parker and Jack Hayes journey to Paris, accompanied by their friend Nate, to attend a wedding between the prestigious Auclair and Picard families. But when Nate winds up dead and Jack is the prime suspect, it's up to June to clear his name and find the real culprit.

It's not exactly shocking that June's Journey has proven so popular. Balancing out the enjoyment of hidden object puzzles with the glamorous 1920s setting, a capable female heroine and plenty of whodunnits and other mysteries to solve, it wouldn't be out of place in the pulp novels of yore.

Indeed, it's almost surprising it's taken Wooga this long to recognise the transmedia (outside of the original format) potential of June's Journey. The novel itself was produced in close collaboration with the folks at Wooga's narrative team, so longtime fans can look forward to a truly authentic experience.

Despite ruling the roost, June's Journey isn't the only hidden object puzzler on mobile. You can check out some of the other options in our hand-picked list of the best hidden object puzzlers on Android if you want to broaden your palate!
