Tribes: Ascend and Smite developer Hi-Rez Studios has launched its first mobile game: a super high-tempo auto-runner with eSports ambitions, called Jetpack Fighter.

The game has you collecting fighters and weapons, in a quest to slash your way through the evil robots plaguing Mega City - across dozens of unique levels.

When you finish each mission, you can return for more loot or to compete against other players in time trials.

To promote the launch, you can unlock Smite goddess Nemesis in Jetpack Fighter by linking up your Hi-Rez account. Plus, you can play as Jetpack hero Leona in Smite.

Now that's what I call BRAND SYNERGY, BABY.

Hi-Rez says it "plans to position and support Jetpack Fighter as an emerging eSport in the mobile games space", so we'll see how that works out.

The game's here, it's free, and it looks like fun. Let us know how you get on in the comments below.
