Although everyone at Pocket Gamer is rich with complimentary games and as much gold as we can eat, we still get all excited when a free game comes along; especially one that promises so much dynamic, funkadelic action as Jaybot's Catchy Cadence.

Designed by game maestro Jason Surguine (AKA Jaybot), Catchy Cadence features more different themes than you can poke a stylus at. Escaping from sharks, chopping wood as a lumberjack, taking part in a dancing competition, jumping robots in a futuristic society, sword swinging, playing tennis, making sandwiches and marching to the beat are all variations on the rhythm-based antics you can expect to enjoy.

The game is available for free download on both the PC and Pocket PC/Windows Mobile powered PDAs. PDAMill also boasts that it needs little in the way of instructions so you can jump right into the musical gameplay, though details on what PDA requirements the game has are a little sketchy.

At least it won't cost anything to find out, so there's really no excuse for not giving it a lash.

Spanner Spencer
Yes. Spanner's his real name, and he's already heard that joke you just thought of. Although Spanner's not very good, he's quite fast, and that seems to be enough to keep him in a regular supply of free games and away from the depressing world of real work.
