Irregular Recruits is a new roguelike deckbuilder with unit permadeath, made by a solo indie dev

Paw Oktober has officially launched Irregular Recruits, the Denmark-based solo indie dev's unique single-player roguelike. Android players can now get into the game and engage in strategic deckbuilding battles with a hint of auto chess, available as an ad-free premium title on Google Play.

In Irregular Recruits, players can experience fan-fave elements of roguelike deckbuilders but with a special twist - here, your life total equates to your army. As such, your recruits are forever lost when they die, and as the ultimate sacrifice, you also die when your whole army is dead.

Apart from permanent death for units, the game also features auto-resolving combat when it comes to tactical battles, as well as tons of special (and unusual) events. You'll encounter both friend and foe along the way as you recruit more than 200 units to add to your army. You can also level up your commander to make sure that you unlock special powers that will turn the tide in battle. The game can be played offline, so you won't need an internet connection to enjoy the unique title.
