Infinite Fantasy M, a new wuxia-themed MMORPG, launches for Android

Developer LokfungGame has announced its latest project; a mobile fantasy MMORPG entitled Infinite Fantasy M. This new release is a wuxia-themed MMORPG that will transport you to a fantastical feudal China setting where you can tackle tons of different content with your friends and random other players alike, all while levelling up your character and gathering new gear.

Now, I’m not going to sugarcoat exactly what Infinite Fantasy M looks like to me. There’s been a rise of “successful” MMOs on the mobile market as of late with a particular shtick that seems to be exactly what this one is following as well. This is the rise of the “auto” MMO, which is essentially an MMORPG that allows you to play it almost entirely hands-off. You click an icon to travel to a quest and put the phone down, you auto-battle your way through combat, you auto-collect items, and so on.

While that is a subjective feature, one that some may enjoy and others may not, the screenshots of Infinite Fantasy M also display a certain mechanic that I’m pretty sure your average mobile gamer isn’t too keen on. Screenshots and gameplay of Infinite Fantasy M show off an absolutely absurd amount of screen-filling notifications, to the point where it’s tough to even see what all the UI buttons do. It makes the screen real estate reserved for actual gameplay rather sparse, which further solidifies that this is a game meant to be played in an auto fashion.

To me, from the limited amount of gameplay I have seen thus far, Infinite Fantasy M seems comparable to Ni No Kuni’s recently released mobile game. So if you were a fan of that one and are looking to try out a similar MMO in an admittedly really cool setting, you can check out Infinite Fantassy M for free at the link below. There’s no word on an iOS release yet, but we may potentially see one in the future, so stay tuned!
