Idle Miner Tycoon enters the cloud gaming space with a launch on Facebook Gaming

Kolibri Games has just announced that their flagship title- Idle Miner Tycoon is entering the cloud gaming space with its launch on Facebook Gaming. This move should usher in a lot of new players from around the world considering the massive growth cloud gaming is seeing. Since its launch in 2017 on Android and iOS, the addition of Idle Miner Tycoon to Facebook Gaming marks its first platform expansion. This development is a result of a collaboration between Kolibri Games and Ubisoft Da Nang, Vietnam. Ubisoft will look after the entire port and will maintain the servers, ensuring mobile and cloud players can enjoy it together.

Describing their jump to the cloud, Managing Director Guillaume Verlinden, said: “Cloud gaming is an exciting space and one which we’re thrilled to become active in. Continuing to grow IMT is a cornerstone of our company’s strategy and working alongside Ubisoft Vietnam to realize this goal has allowed us to offer our players additional access to our multiplatform portfolio while reaching new players at the same time.”

Idle Miner Tycoon has been Kolibri Games’ most popular game, with over 100 million downloads and an active player base spread throughout the world even six years after launch. It allows players to run a successful mining business. They can hire miners to work for them from a diverse catalogue. Some will be better than the others, while a few will bring a special element to the game that no one else can. As the drilling progresses, players’ pockets will be filled and they can spend it on tonnes of upgrades to make the process more efficient and profitable.
