Tie-in mobile game for The Hunger Games: Catching Fire is a competitive endless-runner

Last year, an absolute dream team of indie developers partnered up on the iOS tie-in game for The Hunger Games: Girl on Fire.

This year, the baton has been passed to Reliance Games, which has just confirmed the name of its mobile companion game for Francis Lawrence's imminent blockbuster The Hunger Games: Catching Fire.

Its name? Hunger Games: Catching Fire - Panem Run.

The aim? To run for as long as humanly possible. It is another endless-runner, after all.

Further details about the game are scarce. But if the game's poster is anything to go by (embedded below), the camera will be behind the runner in this latest instalment. By contrast, The Hunger Games: Girl on Fire for iOS was a side-scroller.

Hunger Games: Catching Fire - Panem Run

In Hunger Games: Catching Fire - Panem Run, there will be lots of social and competitive elements. You'll be able to challenge your friends to see who can run the farthest, for example.

Reliance and Lionsgate are planning to launch the game on November 22nd (alongside the movie's debut in theatres). We expect it to be available on iOS and Android, though Reliance hasn't confirmed the target platforms yet.
