Hitman Sniper: The Shadows officially launches on Android and iOS worldwide

It's time for fans to rejoice as Square Enix Montreal has finally launched their new mobile title from the acclaimed Hitman series, Hitman Sniper: The Shadows. It is an action RPG featuring a brand new and original Hitman story. Players are part of an elusive group called The Shadows, which tasks them with missions around the globe, where they must complete contracts stealthily while building up their reputation in the International Contract Agency.

The world of Hitman has gone awry as Agent 47 has disappeared. There is also the threat of a new criminal network that will tip the balance of global stability. It is up to the agents of The Shadows to investigate 47’s disappearance and re-establish global stability. The game features six sniper assassins with their own backstories, abilities, and playstyles. Thanks to their unique abilities, players can mess around with missions and find various ways to complete contracts.

Describing their vision, Senior Producer for Hitman Sniper: The Shadows at Square Enix Montréal, Simon Doongoor, said: “From the onset, our ambition was to deliver a high production value Hitman Sniper experience on mobile in terms of quality graphics, and gameplay. We wanted this game to be the start of something new rather than a sequel. This vision freed us to move in a different direction, such as introducing The Shadows, and allowed us to create a deeper game experience for players.”

Unique assassins are not the only source of variety in Hitman Sniper: The Shadows. Players can also expect new locations featuring different vantage points and times of the day, allowing for creativity when it comes to eliminating their targets. All these environments come with their own challenges and stories waiting to be uncovered by agents.

The campaign mode features Hitman Sniper’s intriguing story where players can eliminate targets and polish their skills. It also features a PvP mode where players can build their reputation and compete against others. Winning contracts will require tremendous creativity and precision.
