Hitman: Blood Money - Reprisal offers new 'try before you buy' update
  • Hitman: Blood Money - Reprisal is debuting a new 'try before you buy' update
  • Take on the iconic first mission of Blood Money for free
  • Reprisal offers a revamped, refreshed take on the iconic classic

With IO's upcoming 007: First Light grabbing the headlines, I wouldn't blame you for wanting to revisit the franchise that put them in the limelight. But until now, you'd have to put your money up front if you wanted to give the excellent Hitman: Blood Money - Reprisal a try. No Longer! Because one of, if not the best, entries in the Hitman series is now try-before-you-buy.

Feral Interactive's critically acclaimed mobile version of the bona fide classic sees you step into the well-tailored shoes of Agent 47. Your mission? Eliminate the competition before they do the same to you, and take on the assassins of The Franchise.

The opening mission, set inside an abandoned funfair, is one that many longtime fans probably know like the back of their hand. But now, newcomers to the franchise or those only familiar with the latest entries can get to grips with it before deciding whether to spend the full $14.99 price tag.

Blood Money needs little in the way of recommendation, as many others can do it better than I. But it exemplifies the open-ended appeal of the Hitman series, as well as being considered the high-point of the franchise, with some even considering it better than the otherwise excellent pseudo-reboot that's graced consoles and PC.

At the same time, Hitman is an intimidating franchise because of that open-ended nature, so allowing players to try out the first level with all its intricacies and potential solutions is a very smart move in my opinion.

But there are a lot of great options out there for mobile. And while we may not be able to cover them all in as much detail as you'd prefer, if you've got a favourite you want to highlight, why not nominate it for the 2025 edition of the Pocket Gamer People's Choice Awards?
