Hero, a brand new Free to Play RPG from King has been softlaunched on Android and there's not a single piece of candy to be found.

Players build their hero in the world of Mystia, complete quests, and fight battles to gain legendary gear and master weapons.

You can also co-operate with friends and become real heroes together by fighting dragons, goblins, and ninja squirrels. Standard.

As with any RPG, the sword is a hundred times bigger than the hero, there are an abundance of chests to open and coins to collect.

Oh, and barrels are made to be smashed.

Hero appears to have three different heroes. A warrior, mage, and hunter type, and has a very Torchlight-esque art-style. Which is certainly not a bad thing.

The control scheme also appears to have been designed for one-handed play which is really impressive for an RPG.

As the game is in softlaunch, you can only download Hero in some territories. There's also no word on when we'll get an iOS version.
