Haunted Escape will have you poking around a Victorian mansion this October
One for Halloween
It feels like it's way too early to be talking about Halloween, but the holiday is only a little over a month away. Therefore, it's time to be on the lookout for scary games to play, as is tradition.
Now, we may be going out on a bit of a limb with Haunted Escape, but the creepy Victorian mansion walk 'em up shown in the trailer seems to have some potential.
Each of the rooms is rendered with quite a bit of detail, and examining the finer parts of paintings, the old wallpaper, and bloodied and scratched floors could be interesting in itself.
Comparisons to the feel and look of the Gold Award-winning The Room may be reaching a bit high, but they're certainly valid.
We're a little sceptical as to whether the game's scares are going to be genuinely scary, or just terribly comical. Especially if you watch the trailer to the end. You'll see.
Hopefully, Haunted Escape is worth a play when released around Halloween for mobiles and tablets. If it's not scary, it might at least be worth a laugh, as bad horror tends to be ripe for.
