GTA: Chinatown Wars HD heading to iPad on September 9th

Having been first touted back in June, Grand Theft Auto: Chinatown Wars is finally set to screech to a stop on iPad before scrambling out of the car and gunning down passerbys indiscriminately.

Chinatown Wars HD, as all the cool kids call it, won’t have any extra gameplay features or new sections over the iPhone, PSP, or DS versions of the game, but will feature the highest resolution graphics out of all the platforms.

Chinatown Wars puts you in the position of Huang Lee, arriving in Liberty City to deliver a sword to his uncle. Naturally, this being GTA, things don’t quite go as planned, and soon Huang finds himself knee deep in an internal tussle between the Triad bosses, and other assorted lowlifes.

The game secured a Pocket Gamer Gold Award on all three systems when it was first released, so is well worth tracking down if for some reason you haven’t already played it.
