Robin Hood, Robin Hood, riding on your phone
GlobalFun prepares to make the great legend even greater
He robbed from the rich, gave to the poor, and would have been flummoxed if you'd shown him a RAZR. Nevertheless, that's where Robin Hood is ending up, thanks to a new game from GlobalFun.
Great Legends: Robin Hood is its name, and from the screenshots it looks like it's taken inspiration from some of our favourite old-school console RPGs.
The plot involves Robin arriving back from the Crusades to find Nottingham in uproar as the nefarious sheriff – who thanks to the current BBC TV series will forever look like boggle-eyed Keith Allen to us – terrorises the innocent populace.
Your job, as ole green-tights himself, is to win justice for yourself and your family, by swashbuckling your way through 12 chapters of the game. There's a host of enemies to battle, arrows, swords and items to find, and multiple side-quests. Hopefully you get to snog Marian at some point too.
The game is the work of GlobalFun Argentina, and is due out in the UK this month.
