Godzilla x Kong: Titan Chasers shows off new trailer to mark global launch
  • Godzilla x Kong: Titan Chasers is out now on iOS and Android
  • Mixing turn-based RPG battles and 4X strategy, you'll explore and research the titanic wildlife of the Siren Isles
  • You can even find the two titular biggest monsters of the movies roaming around!

If you've been on a kaiju kick lately, need a bit of extra danger in your 4X strategy or just want to find out how nightmarish boots-on-the-ground RPG battles can get, why not sprinkle in some extra large monsters to spice things up? That's because Godzilla x Kong: Titan Chasers is out now on iOS and Android!

Set on the mysterious Siren Isles, you play as a motley band of mercenaries and researchers referred to collectively as Titan Chasers. Mixing turn-based RPG battles and 4X strategy, you'll need to establish a base on the islands while researching the enormous and bizarre critters which inhabit it. Naturally, if you want to pit your favourite superspecies against each other there's also the monster vs monster campaign too.

Aside from the big duo themselves, who'll appear only rarely, you'll also be encountering recognisable creatures from Legendary's so-called Monsterverse. Whether that be the Mother Longlegs, the Rock Critters or the ever-loveable (?) Skull Crawlers. Check out the launch trailer for even more of the action!

Island life

Blending 4X strategy with turn-based RPG gameplay isn't exactly a world-changing combination, but in fairness, I think it's one of the few feasible ways to translate the enormous world-shattering battles between titans like Godzilla and Kong. Short of remaking something like Rampage that is.

And with plenty of recognisable monsters making an appearance alongside the big guys themselves, I've no doubt that longtime fans of kaiju movies will be leaping into Titan Chasers with aplomb.

Speaking of lizard-filled strategy, why not dig into the latest edition of the App Army Assemble? In this series, where we gather the opinions of your average mobile gamer, we see whether the Jurassic strategy game DinoBlits is worth taking a bite out of, or whether it should simply go extinct.
