After an enthralling few months of events in version 2.5 of Genshin Impact, it's time for another massive content update. Titled Zephyr of the Violet Garden, the latest update will launch by the end of this month, on March 30th. It will introduce a brand new area called Chasm.

Chasm is Genshin Impact’s newest region and is located in the westernmost part of Liyue. It will bring with it anticipated stories about the Traveler Twins and Khaenri’ah. In addition to this, a new five-star character called Kamisato Ayato joins Inazuma to celebrate the Magnificent Irodori Festival alongside his friends.

The Chasm has a peculiar violet-red look and its depth makes it seem like its an endless pit. It sounds scary but it is a crucial region as it is Liyue’s chief source of ores. However, mysterious accidents led to its closure and now its plagued by monsters, Treasure Hoarders, and the Fatui. But at the bottom of it, awaits a new boss, the Ruin Serpent. To help players through this darkness is a new gadget called the Lumenstone Adjuvant that will light the path ahead. Players can look to unlock a new Namecard and the four-star weapon Billet.

The update also brings the Magnificent Irodori Festival, this event commemorates the abolishment of the Sakoku Decree and brings in people from all over Teyvat for celebrations. It is organized by the Yashiro Commission and Yae Miko, and will feature many lots of old friends who will come to take part in festivities and games.

And to top it all off, Kamisato Ayato is joining the squad. He is the head of the Kamisato Clan of the Yashiro Commission and will feature in a new story quest. Inazuma is entering is a new era and Ayato must handle all the unusual tasks thrown at him. He is a Hydro-based hero and will feature in his own Event Wish later.
