Genshin Impact fans must be celebrating wildly right now after Hoyoverse’s recent announcement. A massive update is coming to the open-world adventure RPG in less than two weeks and we’re skipping v2.9 and going straight to version 3.0 – The Morn a Thousand Roses Brings. It will introduce a new playable area, the final addition to the seven-element system and more gameplay changes as well.

Let’s start with the latest region, which becomes the fourth of the seven nations – Sumeru. The land west of Liyue will finally be available to visit and it features extreme environments with a rainforest and desert. Sumeru is also called the Nation of Wisdom and at launch, players will be able to explore the main city and Port Ormos. This sacred nation also houses the Akademiya, an institution of knowledge that is currently governing the state as well.

This update also introduces a brand new element, the seventh and final, Dendro. It causes chain reactions such as Burning if used with Pyro, Bloom with Hydro, and Catalyze with Electro. These can be used innovatively to deal loads of damage to enemies. The rainforest in Sumeru will feature flora and fauna utilizing these Dendro characteristics, which gives them various polymorphic forms. Two new bosses that will be found in these regions are the Jadeplume Terrorshrrom and Electro Regisvine.

The new element can be unlocked by visiting the Statue of The Seven in Sumeru, where they can recruit two Dendro archers – Tighnari and Forest Watcher. Another character joining Genshin is Dori, a claymore-wielding merchant from Sumeru. Players will also see the addition of three new tools - the Boon of the Elder Tree, Ultra-Hot Burner Lamp Test Model, Fishing Line Stabilizer, and so much more.

Genshin Impact’s v3.0 update launches for all devices on August 24th. Download the game now by tapping on one of the links below.
