Genfanad is being reworked and expanded with multiple updates to provide a fresh gameplay experience for players
It’s been nearly four months since the indie MMORPG Genfanad – A Generic Fantasy Adventure and Rose Tinted Games became available to play and the developers have received a lot of feedback. The game saw a lot of interest with numerous players and streamers trying it out, but reviews were mixed.
Genfanad was appreciated for its retro experience and its meta humour but players were not fans of the mechanics that forced them to grind. The developers aim to mitigate these issues and enhance the enjoyment for players by introducing a number of updates over the years.
In 2023, players can expect to see multiple updates featuring improvements to pre-existing issues and much more immersive gameplay systems. There will be new mechanics implemented for exploring places and players will finally be able to join the absurd ClicHe corporation where they can fight for rewards.
As they progress through the game, players will be able to join one of ClicHe's departments, eventually, this will lead to seasonal battles, where players can compete with each other to earn rewards. Moving forward in the game will unlock higher ranks, which provide exclusive access to featured quests, better rewards, and special shops.
The current systems of combat, cooking, and magic will also see a few changes being made to them. All the quests that have been released to date will also be looked into to ensure that relevant and fun rewards are granted for them. These updates aim to provide a great experience for new players as well so that they needn’t have to face the issues the initial players did.
