Andrew Flintoff is bringing the Ashes home… to your phone

Hit ‘em for Six

Andrew 'Freddie' Flintoff is coming exclusively to Vodafone live! this summer in the Freddie Flintoff Blast 'Em Cricket mobile game. Launched to coincide with the first Ashes Test Match at Lord’s on the 21st of July, it’s an arcade-style cricket game that’ll test your reflexes. Working to a timer, players must use skill and accuracy to hit the correct key combinations and blast the ball for six in true Flintoff style!

With two game modes on offer - the fast-paced knockout Blast 'Em game or the more technical Hit for Six – you must press a series of buttons in succession to hit the ball for six. Break the sequence and you’ll be swinging at empty air. "I've been practising and have become an expert at blasting the ball to all parts of the ground”, boasted the real Flintoff when asked about the game that bears his name. “It's certainly a good warm up before getting stuck into the Aussies when the real action begins."

Featuring varying levels of difficulty depending upon the nation you face and special unlockable bonus levels, this isn’t a serious cricket simulation but looks like being a good laugh nonetheless. Here’s to hoping we don’t need any cheering up after England’s performance this summer. The game is compatible with most Java handsets.
