Flying Bodyguard is an indie 2D action-adventure game out now on Google Play

Aiden W. has announced that Flying Bodyguard, the indie dev's 2D action-adventure game on mobile, is out now on Google Play. The premium title costs $2.79 (but is currently discounted to $0.49) and will take you on a single-player journey across a short narrative.

Flying Bodyguard can be enjoyed even without an Internet connection - and it's a short game as well - so it might appeal to on-the-go gamers looking for something to pick up and play conveniently.

As the title of the game suggests, the tale revolves around "an unusual pair of characters who are bound by their protective instincts". Based on the screenshots available online, the game also features hand-drawn visuals that are likely presented in such a way that they tell the story without the need for much text.

It appears to have a side-scrolling style as well, all revolving around the premise of a young woman who finds an injured baby eagle in the woods. Out of the kindness of her heart, she nurses it back to health and cares for it until it becomes a full-grown adult, and the eagle is now apparently indebted to the young girl as her sworn protector. A quick gameplay clip online also shows how you, as the eagle, will be helping the young girl make her way home safely throughout each level.

If you're keen on giving the game a go for yourself, you can download Flying Protector on the Google Play Store.
