Thanks to Kindle and, no doubt, the iSlate, the whole ebook sector seems to be on a roll at the moment; something that EA will be building on in its own small way with the release of its latest FLIPS title.

Building on the original wave of authors, such as Cathy Cassidy, Eoin Colfer and Enid Blyton, which were released in late 2009, next up will be the Percy Jackson and the Olympians series by Rick Riordian.

FLIPS Percy Jackson will include all five books from the fantasy series, along with two bonus titles, which will offer a new perspective on the action-packed tales of the modern teenage Demigod, whose mother's a mortal and whose father is Greek God Poseidon.

The full line up is:

The Lightening Thief
The Sea of Monsters
The Titan's Curse
The Battle of the Labyrinth
The Last Olympian
The Demigod Files
Tales of the Greek Heroes
by Roger Green

As well as the stories themselves, interactive features will be included, such as the coins you collect as you read and can spend in the bestiary which contains a database of photos and information of all monsters found in the novels. Currency can also be spent in the Family Tree area, where you can access information about the various Gods and Demigods and their relationships with each other.

There's even a via a link to The Penguin Dictionary of Classical Mythology.

Other features include access to character profiles and facts, and quizzes that pop up to test your knowledge. Bonus content and sample chapters can be shared with other DSes via the local wireless connection.

FLIPS Percy Jackson will be out in February in the UK, Australia and New Zealand, priced £24.99.
