We're experiencing a renaissance for vintage point and click adventure games on iPhone. Broken Sword: Director's Cut, Secret of Monkey Island: Special Edition, and Beneath a Steel Sky: Remastered are already behind us, while Monkey Island 2: LeChuck's Revenge is due out this summer.

Flight of the Amazon Queen doesn't sit at quite the same table as the aforementioned, but it's a fine game, harking back to the heyday of point and click adventures on the Commodore Amiga. The gameplay is solid, and the B-movie parody writing is outstanding.

And for an indeterminate period you can get it at the bargain price of £1.19 - a 60 per cent reduction. If you've already played the other classic adventures on the App Store and need something to keep you occupied till Monkey Island 2 comes along, this is worth a look.
