5 reasons to engage in Fleet Battle’s brand of strategic battleship warfare

Specifically developed to bring the beauty and fun of Hasbro’s classic Battleship to life on mobile, Fleet Battle is the highly popular battleship strategy game that places players in charge of their own fleet of ships. However, there’s much more to it than simple “hit”, “miss”, and “you sank my battleship” in developer Smuttlewerk’s fresh iteration. Here are five reasons to check out Fleet Battle:

Multiple ways to play

As well as traditional offline single player, Fleet Battle’s Quick Match multiplayer lets you go toe-to-toe with friends, either online via Wi-Fi or locally through Bluetooth. On top of that you can play all game modes except Quick Match with optional rules. More optional rules are set to be added over time, as well as new game modes that will let you adjust fleet and game board sizes.

Play with the whole world

As well as friends, Fleet Battle lets you battle it out with players all over the world. Through this you can meet new people, add them to your friends list and even compare tactics thanks to online text chat. One of the next improvements will be a global chat for the "Play with friends" mode, making it even easier for people to connect and play together.
Collect fleets and medals

All players start with the neutral fleet. Right now, the game offers eight additional country-specific fleets – all unique with more to come. In each match, three of the fields contain blueprints for a certain ship. Thus, players get rewarded even though they're missing a shot. You can speed up things by buying booster packs, but it's not needed. On top of that, you have lots of medals to earn and also a nice, fat, statistics page to enjoy.

No Pay-to-Win and no cheating

With no pay-to-win, everyone is on equal ground in Fleet Battle. Developers Smuttlewerk feel so strongly about this, they’ve laced in multiple security layers into the game, ensuring that any "cheat engines" won't work. This is especially important for tournaments, which will be added quite soon.

If you suspect anything fishy, refer to the Feet battle help section about "Hackers and cheating" – where it explains why matches might feel as if the opponent cheated, when in fact it's a normal thing regarding the luck factor in the game.

The Battleship-style game perfected

There are lots of other battleship-style games. Some of them are OK, most are hobby projects. Fleet Battle, by comparison, has been evolving since 2013 continues to do so every month: Fast gameplay, nice graphics, good audio and regular updates. Smuttlewerk take time to listen to players, making sure that their player support team is on hand to answer any and all questions they might have.
