Point and Click adventure games have been around for decades now, having gone through many names - from graphic adventure through to point and click - in that time. This list is entirely dedicated to that humble genre, specifically to the best new mobile adventure games which released throughout 2020.

Point and click adventure games on mobile actually use a tap to interact system, where you are mostly tapping on items, tapping on an inventory area, and tapping to move around. On PC, you’d be using the mouse to point and click, and that's where the name originates.

Point and click adventure games often are heavily narrative, providing a story to go along with the game, putting you into fantastic worlds, full of different characters, all trying to make it somewhere new or live their story. Point and click adventure games are some of my favorite types of adventure games out there, I love the mystery, the puzzles, and the worlds created within them.

There have been quite a few point and click adventure games that have found their way to mobile this year, and so we have collected the best of the best to share with you all today.

Little Misfortune

Little Misfortune is truly my favorite, current point and click adventure game. You play as Little Misfortune herself, a young girl who lives a sad life, but has no idea. From her point of view, the world is full of sunshine and fun, despite being quite grim and creepy actually. Following a narrator who you aren’t sure you can trust, you need to guide Little Misfortune and make decisions on her last day alive.

DeLight: The Journey Home

DeLight: The Journey Home is a touching story, where you play as a blind girl who is looking to reunite with her parents during wartime. She does have a dog companion and a walking stick, slowing building up the areas she knows and seeing the world around her through them. A lot of this game is exploring the war-ridden city, using her imagination to see what is around her. It’s another game full of choices too.

Find out more about Lamplight City
Lamplight City

Lamplight City is a point and click adventure game about a detective who is haunted by his partner, who had died because of him. This world is sort of like our own, but with a steampunk twist and characters who are all more than meets the eye. All of your decisions do effect what is going on, and you’re trying to solve a case that you sort of caused, so it’s a tricky situation. Lamplight City stands out when it comes to voice acting, as it’s a delight to listen too.

Danganronpa 2: Goodbye Despair

The anniversary edition of Danganropa 2: Goodbye Dispair has released on mobile this year, bring the anime-styled, murder-mystery to more platforms. Trapped with other school children, this game is quite intense as you might end up dead if you don’t keep an eye out and figure out who is murdering who. This game is quite wacky in it’s character stylings, and there are tons of different voiced characters to meet and discover!
