Guinevere Capital, a prominent esports and gaming investment firm recognized for its investments in projects like GiantX, iTero, Perion, Skybox, has announced a strategic partnership with Polemos, a Web3 gaming infrastructure platform.
Guinevere Capital has earned a solid reputation for its involvement in popular Web2 games like League of Legends, Valorant, and Rocket League, and it’s expected that its partnership with Polemos.io will speed up the use of blockchain in gaming and help esports and gaming communities grow globally.
The collaboration seeks to integrate the tools for asset management and user engagement from Polemos.io’s Forge platform with Guinevere Capital’s extensive connections and know-how in both Web2 and esports. Carl Wilgenbus, the Chief Executive Officer of Polemos.io, said, “Teaming up with Guinevere Capital is a big step for us in making gaming rewards more accessible and finding new ways to earn money for the whole gaming scene. Together, we’ll help publishers and studios engage their audiences better and take advantage of the changing world of gaming and esports.”
“Polemos has built an impressive piece of infrastructure that has plugged a huge gap in the gaming sector. We look forward to working with them to commercialise this.” said Dave Harris, a partner at Guinevere Capital. Dave’s previous experience includes investing in and operating top teams and leagues in the Riot Games and Activision Blizzard ecosystems.
Today, Polemos has initiated the official Token Generation Event (TGE) for the $PLMS utility token. The TGE started at 5:00 AM UTC on June 23rd. Now listed on MEXC and Uniswap, $PLMS allows users to enter the Polemos GameFi ecosystem.
The $PLMS token is intended to act as the utility and governance token for the Polemos ecosystem. It aims to support platform functionalities, such as asset management, player incentives, and participation in governance within the ecosystem. The TGE follows prior development phases and strategic partnerships, contributing to the framework of Polemos’ Web3 gaming offerings.
