The cattle drive from successful casual web games to the App Store continues to build into a stampede. Alawar's Farm Frenzy may not have the cachet of a Peggle or Diner Dash but according to the Russian/American publisher, the series is one of its best selling.

Which means we should be getting a little nugget of rural pleasure now the company's inhouse studio Friday's Games has ported the PC version to iPhone and iPod touch (v2.0 OS required).

"Virtually no changes" to graphics and gameplay are promised. Indeed, the game is also "even easier to play than the PC version".

Well, we will have to see about that as we get stuck into the 45 levels, consisting five types of animal, nine farm products and six types of buildings which you have to efficiently juggle to make your millions from.

We just hope the little man from the Department of Environment, Food and Rural Affairs won't be making any bonus appearance to check whether our cheese is made with unpasteurised milk.

Farm Frenzy is out now. You can access it on the App Store directly by hitting the Buy It! button.
