FairPlay Studios’ Fallen Knight is getting some downloadable content this week on Apple Arcade, its first major update since the original launch back in October 2019.

The free update, called Galahad’s Path, brings a massive amount of new content to the game for you to enjoy. There’s a new playable character, called Galahad, who you can take on an alternative route in the main story as you help him save Neo Utopia from The Purge. Galahad’s Path adds roguelike gameplay to Fallen Knight, as you only have one life and must start over if you fail.

The new Boss Rush Mode also allows you to enjoy the thrilling combat in a bunch of back to back scenarios that pits you against Fallen Knight’s toughest foes. The update also has a bunch of quality of life improvements, such as a new shop and customisation system, new stages and a new randomised buff and debuff system. FairPlay is presenting this update as a ‘Thank You’ message to the players for all the support they received throughout launch.

Fallen Knight originally released on Apple Arcade in 2019. It’s a futuristic knight’s tale where you play as a descendent of Sir Lancelot, and have to face off against enemy heroes and a shadowy organisation known as The Purge.

FairPlay Studios has also announced the game will be expanding to more platforms this year, releasing on PC, Nintendo Switch, PlayStation 4 and Xbox One (as well as current-gen consoles via backwards compatibility) sometime in 2021.

For now, check it out on Apple Arcade, the premium iOS subscription service that gives you access to hundreds of mobile games for a small monthly fee of $4.99.
