If you want to advance quickly and easily beat all enemies that stand in your way, then there's no better place to learn how to do that than our Ever Legion guide. We've compiled a complete guide to help you make the best decisions, and share all the tips and tricks we've discovered along the way.

You've probably heard of RAID: Shadow Legends before - maybe you even played it? Well, you'll likely find Ever Legion fairly similar in terms of visuals and gameplay (to an extent), but vastly less gore-y and grind-y. Of course, it's a gacha game, so you will have a lot of heroes to summon from, but you will also have plenty of fun elements to incorporate into your gameplay.

  • So far we've got an Ever Legion tier list of all the best heroes in the game, so make sure you read that as well and make the best choices in terms of what heroes to add to your team!

In this Ever Legion guide, we've shared various tips on how to properly assemble a team, what heroes to focus on, and how to spend your resources in the most efficient way possible. Of course, given the type of game it is, there are things that are expected to happen, such as lots of grinding, going back and forth every day and completing different dungeons, and things that are entirely reliant on your decision-making, such as which heroes you will upgrade, which you will use as feed, and which you will not bother with at all.

And since we're here to discuss all that, let's cut to the chase and check out all the Ever Legion tips and tricks we've got for new and existing players!

Tip #1 - It's all about farming and dailies

Playing Ever Legion is all about fighting enemies and slowly advancing through the game. Reaching the end game is not easy - you need to start by completing as many stages as you can with the heroes you get at the beginning, and slowly work your way up.

Starting with a bunch of random heroes you get from your very first summons, you should keep an eye on the abovementioned tier list and invest most of your resources in the heroes that will pay off in the end, while upgrading the remaining ones just enough to help you pass the stages.

Farming every day is going to help you slowly advance, and since you can collect offline rewards, you should spend these on upgrades and advancing a little more every day. There are daily quests that you should complete every day, as well as instances that will reward you with lots of resources. These have limited entries every day, so you shouldn't skip them - ever!

In the long run, you will probably find this quite repetitive, but trust us - there's only one way to reach the end game, and that is by having the patience to farm and complete all of your dailies. Oh, and there are also daily login rewards which are just a nice added bonus for simply logging in.

Tip #2 - Ascending heroes is not always the best course of action

Hero ascension is no easy feat since it will require a lot of hero copies. While it might seem obvious that upgrading and ascending all of the heroes as they come is the way to go, you might want to rethink that. You want to save up all of the copies of the high-end heroes you get because you might end up changing your mind.

At the very start, we recommend that you focus on ascending the heroes that are the easiest to get, and that you already have a couple of copies of. Stick to 1-2 heroes, and that's it. Afterwards, start saving the copies because while it is a huge upgrade, it is also going to require A LOT of materials and dupes.

If you really want to ascend some heroes, stick to the ones that are in the S+ tier of our tier list. As for the rest, you should only upgrade them as much as you possibly can and keep it at that until you're 100% sure.

Tip #3 - Depending on your play style, you might want to adjust what heroes you focus on

What we mean by playstyle is actually the time and money you're willing to invest in the game. Not everyone wants to spend money in a video game, so if you are one of the F2P players who don't want to spend a dime, then your best choice is to focus on the heroes you find in the Shop.

These heroes are completely free (meaning you won't have to spend money on acquiring them) and you can buy them by simply spending your in-game resources. They are also guaranteed to appear there, therefore ascending and upgrading them will be a lot easier.

This also works for non-F2P players, of course, but given that most players who choose to spend money in a game also tend to summon a lot more often, the chances of acquiring more high-tier heroes are higher.

So, what's the take?

Always get the free heroes you see in the shop. They are among the easiest to upgrade and ascend, and in the worst-case situation, you'll just end up using them in the Colosseum anyway.

Tip #4 - Gear plays an important role

As you might have noticed already, equipment comes in different rarities and with different attributes (some even with bonus ones), so you should always pay attention to that. At the very start of the game, it won't make much of a difference because you won't have a lot of options to choose from, but moving into the mid and end game, it will make a huge difference.

The game already has an auto-equip option, but that will just automatically equip your selected hero with the best available gear, without taking anything else into account. The auto-equip button won't consider the faction bonus or the attribute, so once you have acquired a good piece of equipment, you should spend a minute and learn more about it.

The best gear you can give a unit is the one matching their Attribute - for example, if you have a green hero, you should opt for a piece of gear with the green attribute too. Oftentimes there is also a Faction Bonus, so the heroes belonging to that specific faction wearing the equipment that gives the bonus will get additional stats.

You should always pay attention to that because it could make a huge difference, even if the equipment's power doesn't appear to be THAT high. That additional bonus will translate into more when the right hero is wearing it.

Tip #5 - How many heroes should you upgrade?

The age-old question many players who spend their time playing gachas have - how many heroes should you upgrade? Who should you add to your team?

Well, there's no easy answer here. Some heroes are downright amazing for PvE, while others are for PvP. There are also some which can work for both, so if you are lucky enough to get them, then the number of heroes you upgrade will slightly decrease. However, we do have a recommended number of heroes you should focus on (in due time, of course).

And that is... completing 3 teams.

Having 3 completely upgraded teams will translate into you having enough heroes to fight in the Colosseum as well as in PvE, but of course, that will not come easy. Having 3 teams means having 15 characters upgraded, and that will take time. A lot of time.

First and foremost, you should focus on having just 1 team fully upgraded, which you will use everywhere. After that, you should focus on a second one which is slightly more PvP-focused. That will give you a helping hand in the Arena while also allowing you to have a decent score in the Colosseum. Finally, after you've managed to pull enough relatively decent heroes, you can start working on your third team. That last team will also be the one that will take the longest to upgrade, since you should focus on them one team at a time, with the PvE-focused one coming in first.

Tip #6 - Fight in the Arena and any other PvP content

Every day, you'll have a chance to battle other players in the Arena, so try to do that as often as you can, especially if there is a season end coming. Alternatively, if you're just starting Ever Legion, you should save your Arena tickets and first focus on upgrading your team as much as you can.

Spend the tickets you've saved up right before the season is over because that way, you'll have upgraded your team by quite a lot and protected yourself against loss by simply not having to face opponents while you're with a beginner team. You can keep doing this until you've reached the end-game stages, where upgrading your heroes takes significantly longer.

7
Tip #7 - Never skip Spirit Realm

The Spirit Realm is an instance available every 2 days, and it gives absolutely outstanding rewards. You want to always try to complete this as much as you can, up to the highest level possible. The rewards include lots of resources used for upgrading your heroes, so it's going to come in handy from the very beginning because you will need a lot of blue fragments to upgrade your heroes.

You also have some other instances that are available daily, so especially if you are a F2P player, you should do these without any second thoughts.

8
Tip #8 - What should you spend your Diamonds on?

Diamonds are available by completing stages and quests, and also they come as a one-time reward every time you acquire a new hero. While at the very start, you'll get quite a lot (the first time you start playing the game, you'll have over 10k Diamonds from your emails), you will only continue getting them by completing your dailies and the events, as well as from the Ever Legion redeem codes.

The best way to spend them would be by summoning new heroes in the normal gacha, but for those who have a specific hero in mind, there is also a second Selected gacha which has a hand-picked pool of heroes.

We recommend the normal Summon - the special summon (costs 1000 Diamonds more than the normal one) gives specific heroes, so if you want multiple heroes from the selected ones, then that could work, but otherwise, you shouldn't bother. The normal Summon is good enough for F2P players since the chances are pretty high by default, and the Diamonds you'll save are going to allow you to summon more times.

As for the rest of the content, Diamonds aren't necessarily resources you want to spend. The best use for them is the summon, so just spend whatever you get trying to obtain new heroes which you will then ascend and use to form the three teams we've mentioned before.
