Endling - Extinction, a gut-wrenching story of the last mother fox and her cubs, is coming soon to mobile

Handy Games recently released their tear-jerker of a game, Endling – Extinction on all major platforms, with a mobile release planned soon as pre-registrations have just begun. The game tells the heartbreaking tale of a desperate mother fox who is trying to do everything in her power to ensure the survival of her cubs and herself.

Endling – Extinction isn’t any fantasy story. It speaks of an extremely likely future if no major steps are taken to conserve wildlife. As of now, more than 28,000 animal species face the looming threat of extinction. This includes animals like rhinos, lions, tigers, seals, bears, and so many more with the increase in pollution, illegal poaching, wars, and loss of natural habitats.

This is what makes the game hit close to home, with an aptly chosen title as an endling is regarded as the last known individual of a species, whose end would signify the species extinction. In the game, players take control of the final mother fox that is trying to save the lives of her adorable and clumsy cubs.

Endling takes place in not a dystopian future, but rather a plausible one, where mankind has messed with the ecosystem and biosphere in such a way that animals, plants, and even humans find it tremendously difficult to survive. Everyone and everything is fighting for survival.

Players will, as a mother fox explore this almost-apocalyptic environment which takes cues from real-life issues. It gives a good look at what the future could be like if we don’t hit the brakes on time.

The entire animal kingdom works on the principle of hunt or be hunted. The mother fox will have to kill other animals in order to avoid becoming the prey and also to gather food for the cubs. Survival skills will be tested to the highest level as players take emotionally taxing decisions, moving from one place to another looking for shelter.

Endling – Extinction is an extremely emotional story that brilliantly showcases how our thirst for expansion could very well be our undoing. On mobile, the game will feature full controller support, with automatic cloud saves and a freely customizable UI.
