We've all played crazy golf right?

In the UK, it's usually experienced on windswept, grey days, somewhere near a beach, and results in family feuds which can fester for years.

Thankfully, new Danish developer Pixel Juice - including members from the Hitman and Limbo teams) has taken the theme and presented it in a much more enjoyable manner in its forthcoming iOS title Egg Punch.

In this, you ping a 'naked' bird hiding in an ovid shell (long story) around increasingly wacky 3D physics-based courses, in which you have to collect its feathers, while also getting into the end-of-level hole in the fewest possible shots.

Roll, roll, roll the egg

You're ranked via the usual three star system, plus rewarded with gold coins which you use buy new balls and power ups - such as shot boost, hole seeker, feather magnet etc - via the game's store.

Of course, you can also buy coins with real cash or by performing incentivised advertising actions like watching a video or signing up to Pixel Juice's newsletter, if you so desire.

As for other details, there are six worlds, each with nine levels, making for 54 courses in total, with more promised. Obstacles include moving carts, being fired out of cannons, rolling through pipes and generally bouncing around corners.

Due for release on 1 December, Egg Punch will be free for iPhone and iPad, and looks like it will be well worth downloading.
