A cracking adventure

Join the search for dragon eggs in Dofus Touch, in time for this weekend’s event: Troolateral Damage

French developer Ankama unleashed its stylish MMORPG Dofus on the world a decade ago. Shrinking the action down to pocket size, it brought the same quirky world to the mobile platform in 2016 with Dofus Touch. The aim of the game is unchanged. You must search the World of Twelve for the Dofus – coveted dragon eggs with mystical power.

The game allows you to select from 15 varied character classes, each customisable, ranging from a bloodthirsty warrior to a creature summoner. Using movement and action points, battles are turn-based – a mechanic that’ll be familiar to you if you’re a fan of classic RPGs. The graphics are vibrant and anime-inspired, set on a 2D isometric map, with fun, detailed environments. Dofus Touch doesn’t take itself too seriously either, with light-hearted dialogue and a sense of humour.

As with many MMORPGs, there are plenty of activities to keep your character occupied. Hunt for treasure, clear dungeons, fight PVP, trade equipment, complete quests and so on. Add to that the regular server-wide events, and there’s not much chance you’ll be sat twiddling your thumbs anytime soon.

One of those aforementioned events is taking place this week, 16-23 January, so get your greaves on if you want to join in. The chief of the Bworks, an Orc-like race, is leading his tribe in an invasion north of Cania. King Allister is none too pleased, and wants you to put an end to the fray – by joining it! During Troolateral Damage, the embattled land is split into three tiers, based on player level. Players have to retrieve the quest item and give it to Miss Engere, adding to the pile for that server.

Servers must collect a certain number of the quest items for all players to receive the biggest reward of +50% XP and a drop bonus weekend. But just getting involved promises a +25% XP and a drop bonus day, so it’s worth a shot.

If you fancy joining the quest, you can download Dofus Touch from Google Play or the App Store.
