First Die Hard 4.0 mobile screens emerge
Run, shoot, drive and think in this high profile movie tie-in
We just got through covering the announcement of this mobile exclusive last week and now the first Die Hard 4.0 screenshots have made their debut.
Despite there being only four of them, the shots betray quite a few details about the game. From what we can tell there is at least three game types; top down car chases, side scrolling platform shooting and some puzzle based mini-games.
Being that the game is based on a Die Hard movie, the car chase (although excitingly, from the look of the screenshot, it is in fact a helicopter chase!) and the 'run-and-gun' sections are pretty standard fare. The puzzly looking section, however, seems like something different, and could be a computer hacking or bomb diffusing mini-game linked to the storyline of the film, which is centred on a plot to obliterate America's computer infrastructure.
This central trio of game types harks back to the format of the massively popular PSOne Die Hard Trilogy game.
Things are looking fairly finished at this stage and we're just itching to step into McClane's boots for some good old-fashioned action thrills served up with a side order of brain teasing puzzles and corny one-liners.
