Deer Hunter trains its sights on the iPad tonight

In New Zealand now, will arrive deer soon

Deer Hunter trains its sights on the iPad tonight

You might not know this, but the original Deer Hunter is 13 years old now, and has had over 18 games in the series, not including compilations.

That’s pretty staggering given how its main appeal is quietly stalking peaceful woodland folk and shooting them in the leg.

Now the long-running series is out on the magical iPad courtesy of Glu, in the form of Deer Hunter 3D for iPad (no ‘The Hunt Continues’-styled subtitle for this entry, disappointingly)

If you’re not really into shooting deer, Deer Hunter also lets you hunt down slightly more fearsome foes as well, like grizzly bears or prairie dogs. (Probably not prairie dogs).

Packing in 13 weapons, including bows and rifles; 30 shooting locations; RPG elements; trophy rooms; interactive GPS tracking; and a ‘dynamic scope’, it’s aiming high in terms of features.

Deer Hunter 3D for iPad is currently warming up by hunting down sheep in the New Zealand App Store, so it should arrive in Europe and America later today for a price of £2.99 / $4.99 / €3.99.
